The Western Nevada Pisol League is a pistol competition sports club, located in the Reno and Sparks area of Nevada.
We offer a Safe, Fun enviroment to enjoy several types of action pistol sports. We invite everyone from beginners to Grand Master level shooters to come out and join us for any of our scheduled events. WNPL is affiliated with Area 1 of the United States Practical Shooting Association

USPSA (IPSC)

WNPL typicaly holds a USPSA match on the first Sunday of every month. Please check our Match Calendar for exact dates and Stage descriptions.

Steel Challenge

In addition to USPSA matches, WNPL sponors other events, such as Steel Challenge. Steel Challenge is all about improving your speed and accuracy. Each stage is a fixed series of steel targets, shot multiple times and keeping only your best scores. A flyer with information on what you'll need and more can be found here.
Steel Challenge is in hiatus for the winter. Please check back for more information later in the year.

Production Pistol

If you're new to Pistol shooting sports, WNPL also offers Production Pistol or USPSA Lite Matches.
New shooters are not just welcomed; these matches are made for them! We do require that you understand basic gun safety.

The Production Pistol season for 2008 begin on April 12th. Check the calendar for exact dates, but they're usually the second Sat of the month.

If you've never shot an IPSC style course before, come on out and give it a try! If you have, this is a great opportunity to introduce a freind to something a LOT more fun than just shooting bullseye's.
